2022 dates for your diary
Friday May 27th 2022 – Tony McManus & Julia Toaspern in concert, Kelso Old Parish Church, 7.30pm. Tony McManus is probably the finest exponent of Celtic guitar playing in the world today while Julia Toaspern is a multi-talented musician from Berlin who combines classical training on violin and voice with a wide interest in genres such as jazz, baroque and traditional music. Her skills as a guitarist are prodigious and make an exciting fit with Tony’s work. This makes for a diverse evening’s entertainment – feeling like several duos in one: from powerful interwoven guitar duets to traditional, classical, and self-penned songs to soaring guitar-fiddle medleys. Always delivered with passion, commitment and an enjoyment of music that is contagious.
Tony and Julia are on tour from Canada and we are very lucky to be able to attract such fine exponents of traditional music here at Kelso. Tickets are just £10
